Buble Tops Juno Award Nominations March 03, 2010

Michael Bublé led the Canadian Juno Award today with six nominations, while rockers Billy Talent, rising hip-hop star Drake and country act Johnny Reid all scored multiple nominations.
Bublé’s nominations stem from his 2009 release “Crazy Love,” and include Juno fan choice award, single of the year for “Haven’t Met You Yet,” album of the year, artist of the year, songwriter of the year and pop album of the year. Producers Bob Rock and David Foster were also nominated for their work on “Crazy Love.”
Toronto band Billy Talent received four nods, including single of the year for “Rusted From The Rain,” album of the year for “III,” group of the year and rock album of the year. Drake, whose debut album is expected in June, also received four nominations, including single of the year for “Best I Ever Had”, new artist of the year and a double nomination in the category of rap recording of the year for his debut EP, “So Far Gone,” as well as for the collaborative track “Still Fly” with fellow Canadians Big Page and U.G.O. Crew.
Singer Johnny Reid received four nominations, including fan choice and country album of the year. There were 94 first-time nominations, including teen sensation Justin Bieber, who received three nominations.
Several nominated acts are confirmed to play the show, which is held in St. John’s, Newfoundland , on April 18, including Bublé, Drake, and Billy Talent.
