Vasquez Joins Spirit Music Group

Robert Vasquez, former manager of film and television for EMI Music, has been appointed creative director at global independent music publisher Spirit Music Group. Vasquez will report to VP of creative Peter Shane.
Vasquez will be based in Spirit's New York headquarters and will work to develop the company's sync licensing activity in traditional and new media. He also will focus on music for film trailers, promos and advertising.
In his previous position at EMI, Vasquez placed music in movies, film trailers, TV and advertisements, and also negotiated deals for EMI artists. Before that, he worked in Chrysalis Music Publishing's film/TV department and was an A&R coordinator for Warner/Chappell.
