Sony/ATV Signs Worldwide Deal With Claudia Brant

Sony/ATV Music Publishing has signed a long-term, worldwide publishing agreement with singer/songwriter Claudia Brant, one of Latin music’s most successful contemporary songwriters, Billboard.biz has learned.
Sony/ATV will exclusively administer Brant’s compositions, including songs on her publishing companies, Nana Maluca and Brantunes Music.
A SESAC affiliate who has been named SESAC’s Latin songwriter of the year in 2006 and 2007, Brant co-wrote with Luis Fonsi “No Me Doy Por Vencido,” which is currently at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart.
That is the latest in a series of hits that Brant has written or co-written in recent years for the likes of Ricky Martin, Ednita Nazario, Victor Manuelle, Reik and Fonsi. She has also placed songs in the mainstream market for acts like Josh Groban and Kenny G.
Maximo Aguirre Music Publishing previously administered Brant’s catalogue.
