Orchard Inks Key Regional Mexican Labels

Digital distributor The Orchard has signed up two key labels in the regional Mexican genre. Cintas Acuario, home to early recordings from Jenni Rivera, Lupillo Rivera, Valentin Elizalde, Chalino Sanchez and El Chapo de Sinaloa, has joined The Orchard's roster for distribution and marketing to online retailers and mobile carriers.
La Sierra Records, home to up-and-comer Adan Romero as well as recordings by veterans Banda el Recodo and La Arrolladora Banda el Limon, also joins The Orchard. The distributor has also been aggressively marketing content from regional Mexican label Balboa/Musart, having made full albums available from Joan Sebastian and Cuisillos via mobile prior to physical release.
